US Vice-President JD Vance recently shared his views on religious beliefs and the potential for end times, expressing a commitment to what he perceives as “God’s work.” During a podcast interview, Vance acknowledged uncertainty about whether the world is nearing its end, but maintained that such an event is inevitable, whether it occurs in thousands of years or much sooner.
In his discussion, Vance speculated on the possibility of the Antichrist already being present in the world, citing concerns over certain societal developments. He criticized the increasing reliance on artificial intelligence in personal relationships, labeling it “kind of satanic.” Vance argued that AI as a substitute for genuine human interaction contradicts the fundamental purpose of having meaningful relationships.
The Vice-President also recounted feelings of “spiritual darkness” that he has experienced during meetings with global leaders. He described instances where particular comments or discussions have set off what he terms a “spiritual alarm bell,” suggesting a dissonance with his religious beliefs.
Additionally, Vance defended President Donald Trump in light of an AI-generated image depicting Trump in a Christ-like manner. He argued that Trump did not intend to mock Christianity or equate himself with God, suggesting the image was meant as humor rather than sacrilege.
