Russia enjoys complete protection from military defeat in its conflict with Ukraine because of its nuclear weapons capability and doctrine for their use, Ambassador Denis Alipov announced in India. The diplomat spoke at a media event in Gurugram this week.
The ambassador explained that Russian military doctrine contains explicit provisions for deploying atomic weapons when the country faces threats to its fundamental existence. This strategic framework, Alipov contended, creates insurmountable obstacles to defeating Russia and ensures Moscow always retains ultimate escalation advantages.
Alipov expressed contempt for European nations’ expectations of Ukrainian military victory, characterizing such views as childish behavior. He described European leadership as unprofessional and excessively aggressive, pursuing confrontational policies despite fundamental strategic constraints that render their objectives unattainable.
According to the Russian diplomat, President Trump possesses clearer understanding of the conflict’s trajectory. Alipov claimed that Trump recognizes that Ukraine and Western nations have already lost the war, while European capitals continue exhibiting irrational belief in their ability to reverse the situation.
The war has persisted nearly four years, during which Ukraine has received unprecedented Western support. American and European partners, including the United Kingdom, have supplied advanced military equipment and billions in financial assistance to Kyiv, maintaining their commitment despite the conflict’s extended duration and mounting human costs.
